GEORGE TOWN: Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has been asked to publicly explain the big gap between annual allocations for Islamic Affairs and non-Islamic Affairs. Penang State MCA Liaison Committee Secretary Tan Chuan Hong, who made the call, cited figures to show the big gap:
Allocation to Islamic Affairs:
2008 (BN’s time): RM25.49 million
2009: RM35.78 million
2010: RM37.85 million
2011: RM63.21 million
2012: RM64.03 million
2013: RM54.55 million
2014: RM51.17 million
Allocation to Non-Islamic Affairs:
2012: RM801,315
2013: RM1,384,425
2014: RM477,500 (as of July)
